Terms of Agreement
This agreement is between South Asian Gallery of Art (SAGA) and the signing party for the rights to display, market and sell their works at their gallery, office, web site and other designated locations that the signatory to this agreement will be informed.
The selling price for artist works will be determined and agreed upon jointly and posted on the web or gallery walls or printed material. SAGA will charge a 35% commission on all sales that take place directly or indirectly through its customers and clientele and will pay the artist net of commission.
When exhibitions are organized, the artist will share the cost of curator fees (if applicable), framing, transportation and insurance, imaging and slides, wine and cheese on opening night, printing of invitations, etc on a 50% basis. SAGA will cover the remaining 50%.
The artist agrees to provide digital images of at least 10 art works for posting on SAGA's web for viewing, sale and/or rental. The artist also agrees to provide the actual art work upon request of SAGA
SAGA will hold art work in a safe and controlled environment. The premises will be insured.
The artist agrees to be present on exhibition opening nights and any other nights of reception requested by SAGA.
The artist agrees not to sell works (directly or indirectly) that are exhibited by SAGA at their premises or on-line to any individuals, group of individuals, art galleries or corporations and to clients who have been introduced to the artist by SAGA.
